Position

I am Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Digital Technology Centery at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus. I have held this position since Jan. 2006. (Earlier, I interviewed at many schools.)

Education

I received my Ph.D. and my M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at Caltech and my B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics at McGill University.

Awards

My Ph.D. dissertation, titled Cyclic Combinational Circuits, received the Charles H. Wilts Prize for the Best Doctoral Research in Electrical Engineering at Caltech. A paper based on my dissertation work, titled The Synthesis of Cyclic Combinational Circuits, received the Best Paper Award at the Design Automation Conference (DAC).

Industry

I have held positions at Marconi Canada, CAE Electronics, Toshiba and Fujitsu Research Labs.
